Art Jewellery Portfolio

In this section, you will explore another facet of my playground and discover pieces that share a common theme. Some pieces were included in different group shows and have travelled between different countries, others are still sleeping in a box since their creation and some have found a new home.

Statement
Having first started as a social worker and then moving towards jewelry, I now manage to combine both in my artistic practice that addresses social issues such as marginalization, mental health and precariousness. My work is a balance between a result of experiments and an obsession for technical details. Creating new shapes by deconstructing and deforming rough and precious material is my way of creating wearable stories and reflect on the human capacity towards empathy, acceptance, and hope.
Scars can’t be erased but the pain of the past must be revisited, and a new way forward can be found… a notion which guides my intuitive process. I reflect on my feelings and memories, where I learned the importance of mutual trust in the moments when everything feels uncertain. Expressed in my intuitively created work, is my understanding of the importance of living in the present, accepting one’s mistakes and moving forward– a process, which is equally as important as the end result.
